• Packaging improvements:

  • pinned golang.org/x/net version is now 0.60.0 fixing excessive CPU consumption on repeated HTTP/2 initial window changes (CVE-2026-78669, bsc#1285291).
  • Add BuildRequires: timezone required by TestTokenRefresherRefresh
  • Reduce use of non-default GOFLAGS to simplify conditionals necessary to build on all targets e.g. ppc64le cannot use PIE.
  • Build PIE with pattern that may become recommended procedure: %%ifnarch ppc64le GOFLAGS="-buildmode=pie" %%endif go build A go toolchain buildmode default config would be preferable but none exist at this time.
  • Drop mod=vendor, go1.14+ will detect vendor dir and auto-enable
  • Remove go build arg -trimpath. Since this is a packaged binary, build environment paths do not leak private information. Other build scenarios such as minimal container builds could have a use for -trimpath. Absent a clear need, use go build defaults.

  • Disable go test on ppc64le due to multiple failures on Leap 15.7 ppc64le with nil pointer dereference. Failing tests include but are not limited to Test_GhEditor_Prompt_skip Test_GhEditor_Prompt_editorAppend Test_GhEditor_Prompt_editorTruncate
  • Syntax to skip multiple tests is hard to find in documentation: go test -skip "TestA|TestB" Where the skip list is a regex using shell quotes as needed.
