In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: x86: Load DR6 with guest value only before entering .vcpu_run() loop
Move the conditional loading of hardware DR6 with the guest's DR6 value out of the core .vcpu_run() loop to fix a bug where KVM can load hardware with a stale vcpu->arch.dr6.
When the guest accesses a DR and host userspace isn't debugging the guest, KVM disables DR interception and loads the guest's values into hardware on VM-Enter and saves them on VM-Exit. This allows the guest to access DRs at will, e.g. so that a sequence of DR accesses to configure a breakpoint only generates one VM-Exit.
For DR0-DR3, the logic/behavior is identical between VMX and SVM, and also identical between KVM_DEBUGREG_BP_ENABLED (userspace debugging the guest) and KVM_DEBUGREG_WONT_EXIT (guest using DRs), and so KVM handles loading DR0-DR3 in common code, outside of the core kvm_x86_ops.vcpu_run() loop.
But for DR6, the guest's value doesn't need to be loaded into hardware for KVM_DEBUGREG_BP_ENABLED, and SVM provides a dedicated VMCB field whereas VMX requires software to manually load the guest value, and so loading the guest's value into DR6 is handled by {svm,vmx}_vcpu_run(), i.e. is done inside the core run loop.
Unfortunately, saving the guest values on VM-Exit is initiated by common x86, again outside of the core run loop. If the guest modifies DR6 (in hardware, when DR interception is disabled), and then the next VM-Exit is a fastpath VM-Exit, KVM will reload hardware DR6 with vcpu->arch.dr6 and clobber the guest's actual value.
The bug shows up primarily with nested VMX because KVM handles the VMX preemption timer in the fastpath, and the window between hardware DR6 being modified (in guest context) and DR6 being read by guest software is orders of magnitude larger in a nested setup. E.g. in non-nested, the VMX preemption timer would need to fire precisely between #DB injection and the #DB handler's read of DR6, whereas with a KVM-on-KVM setup, the window where hardware DR6 is "dirty" extends all the way from L1 writing DR6 to VMRESUME (in L1).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm: memory-failure: update ttu flag inside unmap_poisoned_folio
Patch series "mm: memory_failure: unmap poisoned folio during migrate properly", v3.
Fix two bugs during folio migration if the folio is poisoned.
This patch (of 3):
Commit 6da6b1d4a7df ("mm/hwpoison: convert TTU_IGNORE_HWPOISON to TTU_HWPOISON") introduce TTU_HWPOISON to replace TTU_IGNORE_HWPOISON in order to stop send SIGBUS signal when accessing an error page after a memory error on a clean folio. However during page migration, anon folio must be set with TTU_HWPOISON during unmap_*(). For pagecache we need some policy just like the one in hwpoison_user_mappings to set this flag. So move this policy from hwpoison_user_mappings to unmap_poisoned_folio to handle this warning properly.
Warning will be produced during unamp poison folio with the following log:

[(CVE-2025-21907)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: Assign normalized_pix_clk when color depth = 14
[WHY & HOW] A warning message "WARNING: CPU: 4 PID: 459 at ... /dc_resource.c:3397 calculate_phy_pix_clks+0xef/0x100 [amdgpu]" occurs because the display_color_depth == COLOR_DEPTH_141414 is not handled. This is observed in Radeon RX 6600 XT.
It is fixed by assigning pix_clk * (14 * 3) / 24 - same as the rests.
Also fixes the indentation in get_norm_pix_clk.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_conncount: Fully initialize struct nf_conncount_tuple in insert_tree()
Since commit b36e4523d4d5 ("netfilter: nf_conncount: fix garbage
collection confirm race"), cpu and jiffies32 were introduced to
the struct nf_conncount_tuple.
The commit made nf_conncount_add() initialize conn->cpu and
conn->jiffies32 when allocating the struct.
In contrast, count_tree() was not changed to initialize them.
By commit 34848d5c896e ("netfilter: nf_conncount: Split insert and
traversal"), count_tree() was split and the relevant allocation
code now resides in insert_tree().
Initialize conn->cpu and conn->jiffies32 in insert_tree().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btnxpuart: Fix kernel panic during FW release
This fixes a kernel panic seen during release FW in a stress test scenario where WLAN and BT FW download occurs simultaneously, and due to a HW bug, chip sends out only 1 bootloader signatures.
When driver receives the bootloader signature, it enters FW download mode, but since no consequtive bootloader signatures seen, FW file is not requested.
After 60 seconds, when FW download times out, release_firmware causes a kernel panic.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bonding: check xdp prog when set bond mode
Following operations can trigger a warning[1]:
ip netns add ns1
ip netns exec ns1 ip link add bond0 type bond mode balance-rr
ip netns exec ns1 ip link set dev bond0 xdp obj af_xdp_kern.o sec xdp
ip netns exec ns1 ip link set bond0 type bond mode broadcast
ip netns del ns1
When delete the namespace, dev_xdp_uninstall() is called to remove xdp program on bond dev, and bond_xdp_set() will check the bond mode. If bond mode is changed after attaching xdp program, the warning may occur.
Some bond modes (broadcast, etc.) do not support native xdp. Set bond mode with xdp program attached is not good. Add check for xdp program when set bond mode.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/pm: Prevent division by zero
The user can set any speed value. If speed is greater than UINT_MAX/8, division by zero is possible.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.(CVE-2025-37767)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
isofs: Prevent the use of too small fid
syzbot reported a slab-out-of-bounds Read in isofs_fh_to_parent. [1]
The handle_bytes value passed in by the reproducing program is equal to 12. In handle_to_path(), only 12 bytes of memory are allocated for the structure file_handle->f_handle member, which causes an out-of-bounds access when accessing the member parent_block of the structure isofs_fid in isofs, because accessing parent_block requires at least 16 bytes of f_handle. Here, fh_len is used to indirectly confirm that the value of handle_bytes is greater than 3 before accessing parent_block.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: xhci: Fix invalid pointer dereference in Etron workaround
This check is performed before prepare_transfer() and prepare_ring(), so enqueue can already point at the final link TRB of a segment. And indeed it will, some 0.4% of times this code is called.
Then enqueue + 1 is an invalid pointer. It will crash the kernel right away or load some junk which may look like a link TRB and cause the real link TRB to be replaced with a NOOP. This wouldn't end well.
Use a functionally equivalent test which doesn't dereference the pointer and always gives correct result.
Something has crashed my machine twice in recent days while playing with an Etron HC, and a control transfer stress test ran for confirmation has just crashed it again. The same test passes with this patch applied.(CVE-2025-37813)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
irqchip/gic-v2m: Prevent use after free of gicv2m_get_fwnode()
With ACPI in place, gicv2m_get_fwnode() is registered with the pci subsystem as pci_msi_get_fwnode_cb(), which may get invoked at runtime during a PCI host bridge probe. But, the call back is wrongly marked as __init, causing it to be freed, while being registered with the PCI subsystem and could trigger:
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffff8000816c0400 gicv2m_get_fwnode+0x0/0x58 (P) pci_set_bus_msi_domain+0x74/0x88 pci_register_host_bridge+0x194/0x548
This is easily reproducible on a Juno board with ACPI boot.
Retain the function for later use.(CVE-2025-37819)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: pidff: Fix null pointer dereference in pidff_find_fields
This function triggered a null pointer dereference if used to search for a report that isn't implemented on the device. This happened both for optional and required reports alike.
The same logic was applied to pidff_find_special_field and although pidff_init_fields should return an error earlier if one of the required reports is missing, future modifications could change this logic and resurface this possible null pointer dereference again.
LKML bug report: https://lore.kernel.org/all/CAL-gK7f5=R0nrrQdPtaZZr1fd-cdAMbDMuZ_NLA8vM0SX+nGSw@mail.gmail.com(CVE-2025-37862)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net_sched: hfsc: Fix a UAF vulnerability in class with netem as child qdisc
As described in Gerrard's report [1], we have a UAF case when an hfsc class has a netem child qdisc. The crux of the issue is that hfsc is assuming that checking for cl->qdisc->q.qlen == 0 guarantees that it hasn't inserted the class in the vttree or eltree (which is not true for the netem duplicate case).
This patch checks the n_active class variable to make sure that the code won't insert the class in the vttree or eltree twice, catering for the reentrant case.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xsk: Fix race condition in AF_XDP generic RX path
Move rx_lock from xsk_socket to xsk_buff_pool. Fix synchronization for shared umem mode in generic RX path where multiple sockets share single xsk_buff_pool.
RX queue is exclusive to xsk_socket, while FILL queue can be shared between multiple sockets. This could result in race condition where two CPU cores access RX path of two different sockets sharing the same umem.
Protect both queues by acquiring spinlock in shared xsk_buff_pool.
Lock contention may be minimized in the future by some per-thread FQ buffering.
It's safe and necessary to move spin_lock_bh(rx_lock) after xsk_rcv_check():
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sch_hfsc: Fix qlen accounting bug when using peek in hfsc_enqueue()
When enqueuing the first packet to an HFSC class, hfsc_enqueue() calls the child qdisc's peek() operation before incrementing sch->q.qlen and sch->qstats.backlog. If the child qdisc uses qdisc_peek_dequeued(), this may trigger an immediate dequeue and potential packet drop. In such cases, qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog() is called, but the HFSC qdisc's qlen and backlog have not yet been updated, leading to inconsistent queue accounting. This can leave an empty HFSC class in the active list, causing further consequences like use-after-free.
This patch fixes the bug by moving the increment of sch->q.qlen and sch->qstats.backlog before the call to the child qdisc's peek() operation. This ensures that queue length and backlog are always accurate when packet drops or dequeues are triggered during the peek.(CVE-2025-38000)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net_sched: hfsc: Address reentrant enqueue adding class to eltree twice
Savino says: "We are writing to report that this recent patch (141d34391abbb315d68556b7c67ad97885407547) [1] can be bypassed, and a UAF can still occur when HFSC is utilized with NETEM.
The patch only checks the cl->cl_nactive field to determine whether
it is the first insertion or not [2], but this field is only
incremented by init_vf [3].
By using HFSC_RSC (which uses init_ed) [4], it is possible to bypass the
check and insert the class twice in the eltree.
Under normal conditions, this would lead to an infinite loop in
hfsc_dequeue for the reasons we already explained in this report [5].
However, if TBF is added as root qdisc and it is configured with a
very low rate,
it can be utilized to prevent packets from being dequeued.
This behavior can be exploited to perform subsequent insertions in the
HFSC eltree and cause a UAF."
To fix both the UAF and the infinite loop, with netem as an hfsc child, check explicitly in hfsc_enqueue whether the class is already in the eltree whenever the HFSC_RSC flag is set.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mctp: Don't access ifa_index when missing
In mctp_dump_addrinfo, ifa_index can be used to filter interfaces, but only when the struct ifaddrmsg is provided. Otherwise it will be comparing to uninitialised memory - reproducible in the syzkaller case from dhcpd, or busybox "ip addr show".
The kernel MCTP implementation has always filtered by ifa_index, so existing userspace programs expecting to dump MCTP addresses must already be passing a valid ifa_index value (either 0 or a real index).

Tested with mt7921e but the same pattern can be actually applied to other mt76 drivers calling mt76_dma_cleanup() during removal. Tx napi is enabled in their *_dma_init() functions and only toggled off and on again inside their suspend/resume/reset paths. So it should be okay to disable tx napi in such a generic way.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sunrpc: handle SVC_GARBAGE during svc auth processing as auth error
tianshuo han reported a remotely-triggerable crash if the client sends a kernel RPC server a specially crafted packet. If decoding the RPC reply fails in such a way that SVC_GARBAGE is returned without setting the rq_accept_statp pointer, then that pointer can be dereferenced and a value stored there.
If it's the first time the thread has processed an RPC, then that pointer will be set to NULL and the kernel will crash. In other cases, it could create a memory scribble.
The server sunrpc code treats a SVC_GARBAGE return from svc_authenticate or pg_authenticate as if it should send a GARBAGE_ARGS reply. RFC 5531 says that if authentication fails that the RPC should be rejected instead with a status of AUTH_ERR.
Handle a SVC_GARBAGE return as an AUTH_ERROR, with a reason of AUTH_BADCRED instead of returning GARBAGE_ARGS in that case. This sidesteps the whole problem of touching the rpc_accept_statp pointer in this situation and avoids the crash.(CVE-2025-38089)

raid1_reshape() { // newpool is on the stack mempool_t newpool, oldpool; // initialize newpool.wait.head to stack address mempool_init(&newpool, ...); conf->r1bio_pool = newpool; }
raid1_read_request() or raid1_write_request() { alloc_r1bio() { mempool_alloc() { // if pool->alloc fails remove_element() { --pool->curr_nr; } } } }
mempool_free() { if (pool->curr_nr < pool->min_nr) { // pool->wait.head is a stack address // wake_up() will try to access this invalid address // which leads to a kernel panic return; wake_up(&pool->wait); } }

Applying the patch 81373cd1d72d87c7d844d4454a526b8f53e72d00/62e6160cfb5514787bda833d466509edc38fde23/9f164fa6bb09fbcc60fa5c3ff551ce9eec1befd7/d3a5f2871adc0c61c61869f37f3e697d97f03d8c is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.(CVE-2025-38463)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: Fix use-after-free in tipc_conn_close().
syzbot reported a null-ptr-deref in tipc_conn_close() during netns dismantle. [0]
tipc_topsrv_stop() iterates tipc_net(net)->topsrv->conn_idr and calls tipc_conn_close() for each tipc_conn.
The problem is that tipc_conn_close() is called after releasing the IDR lock.
At the same time, there might be tipc_conn_recv_work() running and it could call tipc_conn_close() for the same tipc_conn and release its last ->kref.
Once we release the IDR lock in tipc_topsrv_stop(), there is no guarantee that the tipc_conn is alive.
Let's hold the ref before releasing the lock and put the ref after tipc_conn_close() in tipc_topsrv_stop().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tracing: Add down_write(trace_event_sem) when adding trace event
When a module is loaded, it adds trace events defined by the module. It may also need to modify the modules trace printk formats to replace enum names with their values.
If two modules are loaded at the same time, the adding of the event to the ftrace_events list can corrupt the walking of the list in the code that is modifying the printk format strings and crash the kernel.
The addition of the event should take the trace_event_sem for write while it adds the new event.
Also add a lockdep_assert_held() on that semaphore in __trace_add_event_dirs() as it iterates the list.(CVE-2025-38539)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf/core: Exit early on perf_mmap() fail
When perf_mmap() fails to allocate a buffer, it still invokes the event_mapped() callback of the related event. On X86 this might increase the perf_rdpmc_allowed reference counter. But nothing undoes this as perf_mmap_close() is never called in this case, which causes another reference count leak.
Return early on failure to prevent that.(CVE-2025-38565)
